Scammers impersonate law enforcement officers and use false legal threats to trick victims into transferring funds through cryptocurrency ATMs. The FBI reminds the public to remain vigilant and that law enforcement will never request people to use cryptocurrency ATMs for transfers or to pay fines via phone or other means.
