Meta đang đẩy mạnh chiến lược AI tự chủ khi xác nhận mua lại Manus – startup phát triển các tác nhân AI đa năng – với mức định giá ước tính 2–3 tỷ USD. Thương vụ cho thấy Meta muốn tích hợp sâu AI “agentic” vào các nền tảng cốt lõi như WhatsApp, Instagram và Facebook, thay vì chỉ dừng ở chatbot.
Công nghệ của Manus cho phép AI thực hiện các nhiệm vụ nhiều bước với ít sự can thiệp từ người dùng, như lập kế hoạch du lịch, sàng lọc hồ sơ tuyển dụng hay nghiên cứu thị trường. Thành lập đầu năm 2025, Manus đạt doanh thu định kỳ 100 triệu USD chỉ sau 8 tháng – tốc độ tăng trưởng hiếm thấy. Công ty đã chuyển trụ sở từ Trung Quốc sang Singapore; Meta cho biết toàn bộ phần sở hữu Trung Quốc đã được mua lại nhằm tránh rủi ro pháp lý.
Thương vụ này bổ sung vào tham vọng AI dài hạn của Meta, hướng tới các hệ thống AI có khả năng hành động độc lập, không chỉ phản hồi theo lệnh.
