Circle releases 2025 financial report, with the stock price soaring 35% in a single day to $83. Allaire stated in a CNBC interview yesterday that, according to Visa’s data, USDC now accounts for about 50% of all stablecoin trading volume, up from just one-third last quarter; on-chain transaction volume for the quarter increased over 250% year-over-year to approximately $12 trillion, while all other stablecoin trading volumes combined are nearly zero. JPMorgan has launched multiple USDC-based initiatives in the last quarter.
Allaire also pointed out that AI agent payments are an important growth area for USDC—when AI systems begin to initiate transactions autonomously, the transparency and verifiability of blockchain-based contract rules make error correction capabilities even better than traditional financial systems.
