Vitalik 举例称，假设你想用 RAI 支付 Gas 费用，可以使用一个支付主合约（专门用于将其他代币转换为 ETH 的 DEX），该合约只需要验证交易发起方是否提供了足够支付 Gas 费价值的 RAI 即可，无需中介。Vitalik 表示，最小化中间环节是以太坊「非丑陋密码朋克」的核心原则：即使除了以太坊链本身之外的所有基础设施都瘫痪了，也要最大限度地发挥你能做的事情。
此外，Vitalik 认为这意味着他们可以完全移除 Railgun 和 Tornado Cash 等隐私平台中「造成巨大用户体验痛苦的源头」public broadcasters，并用「通用公共内存池」取而代之。Vitalik 表示，所有以太坊账户在升级后都可以纳入同一框架，并获得批量操作和交易发起的能力。
