Analyst Cowen: Altcoins will lose blood

Famous crypto analyst Benjamin Cowen predicts that Bitcoin will continue to perform better than altcoins in the short term.

In a statement made via YouTube, Cowen highlighted the social risk metric. This metric measures the general interest in the crypto market based on the social media activities of market participants. According to Cowen, the performance of Ethereum is an important indicator of the overall health of the altcoin market.

Cowen, who noted that the social risk level has also decreased with the value loss in Ethereum, said, “During periods of low social interest in crypto, altcoins continue to experience losses against Bitcoin.” Cowen emphasized that a loosening of monetary policy in the US is necessary to see a recovery in the altcoin market. “Market participants truly want an altcoin season. However, this is not possible without loose monetary policy. As more pain is experienced in the market, the likelihood of monetary easing increases. However, for this change to take place, a certain period of suffering in the market is required.” Cowen stated that while he does not make a clear prediction about how long the current market conditions will last, such prolonged bottlenecks could pave the way for changes in monetary policy.
