Crypto Millionaire CEO Anthony Pompliano Talks About the Future of Bitcoin: "It Will Be Worth Several Million Dollars"

Anthony Pompliano, the founder and CEO of Professional Capital Management, recently joined the Varney & Co. program to share his views on the increasing interest in Bitcoin and the global race intensifying to accumulate the digital asset. Pompliano believes that investors and policymakers are significantly underestimating the scale at which institutions and governments are acquiring Bitcoin.

During the discussion, Pompliano noted that Bitcoin continues to be one of the most clearly defined assets in the financial realm and pointed out that it is widely accepted as a commodity rather than a security. However, regulatory uncertainties regarding taxation and institutional participation still persist.

Pompliano said, “The most important thing on my mind was that the United States said, ‘We will create a Strategic Bitcoin reserve.’” He added, “People greatly underestimate how aggressive they will be in purchasing Bitcoin.”

Russia noted that countries like Abu Dhabi, El Salvador, and Bhutan are also actively purchasing BTC and creating a competitive environment reminiscent of a space race. According to Pompliano, the current US administration is focused on ensuring that America secures a dominant position in the Bitcoin market.

During the interview, while Bitcoin was trading at $84,000, Pompliano was asked about potential future price points. Instead of providing a specific timeline, he compared Bitcoin’s trajectory to that of gold, which transformed from a few dollars in value to a multi-trillion dollar asset.

“I think Bitcoin will be worth millions of dollars one day,” he said, adding: “The real question is, what is the timeframe? Is it a 5-year process or a 15-year process?”

He also added that Bitcoin’s fixed supply and sound monetary principles make it a unique store of value and strengthen its potential to surpass gold’s market value of 20 trillion dollars.
