In a recent TechFlow announcement, on March 14th, according to CoinDesk, global asset management giant BlackRock partnered with Securitize for the issuance of a US Treasury-backed BUIDL Token, with assets under management surpassing $1 billion. A Securitize spokesperson revealed that $200 million from the encryptionprotocol Ethena was injected in the afternoon, propelling the fund size beyond this milestone.
BUIDL, as the core reserve asset of multiple revenue-generating products, is increasingly used as collateral on trading platforms. It is the main reserve asset of the Ethena revenue-generating USDtb Token, with the current USDtb supply reaching 540 million USD. The value of USDtb is supported by USDC and USDT stablecoins, as well as approximately 320 million USD worth of BUIDL Tokens.
Ethena founder Guy Young said, “Ethena has decided to expand its investment in BUIDL with USDtb, reflecting our deep belief in the value of Tokenized assets and their continued importance in modern financial infrastructure.”
