Uber's Q4 revenue and EPS exceeded expectations

On February 5th, Jinshi Data reported that Uber’s revenue in the last quarter exceeded expectations, increasing from $9.94 billion to $11.96 billion. Analysts expected it to reach $11.76 billion, with a net profit of $6.88 billion, or $3.21 per share. Analysts expected $0.50 per share, while the same period last year was $1.43 billion, or $0.66 per share. Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of the company, said that this quarter was the strongest quarter ever, with key indicators including travel and total bookings accelerating rise. The number of trips in the quarter increased from 2.6 billion to 3.07 billion, and the total bookings increased from $37.58 billion to $44.22 billion.
