Founder of Cardano (ADA), Charles Hoskinson, once again expressed his commitment to the platform’s original roadmap as the ADA blockchain ecosystem transitions to the Voltaire Era.
Hoskinson, speaking about the ten-year journey with Cardano, said that they aim to achieve a smooth transition to a fully decentralized, community-driven ecosystem.
Reflecting on the past decade, Hoskinson said:
“By 2025, I will have spent ten years of my life on Cardano. Many mistakes have been made, but I have never crossed the lines to take money from the community or deviated from the original roadmap.”
With the recent launch of the Chang hard fork upgrade, ADA is now controlled by community members. Hoskinson defined his last task as removing the obstacles in front of this transition and ensuring that no individual or institution disrupts the process.
The Age of Voltaire is the final stage in Cardano’s roadmap, focusing on full decentralization and community-driven governance. In this transition, a critical step is the approval of the budget and charter, which Hoskinson considers vital for the project’s success.
However, there are some obstacles. Some insiders have expressed concerns about the timeline, accusing the Cardano Foundation of delaying the approval process. Hoskinson insisted that these plans need to be approved by next year.
“This is my last ten years of duty and I will fulfill it regardless of the personal, economic or professional consequences.”
Despite the difficulties, Hoskinson is optimistic about the future of Cardano and predicts that 2025 will be the best year so far.
