On December 22nd local time, US President-elect Trump announced the nomination of multiple candidates for various positions on his social media platform.

Michael Kratsios has been nominated as the next Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). During the first term of President Trump, Michael Kratsios served as the Chief Technology Officer of the White House, and also as the Deputy Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering at the Pentagon. He graduated from Princeton University and is also a distinguished researcher at Stanford University.

Nominated Keith Bass as the next Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs. Keith Bass is a retired Navy commander with over 30 years of healthcare experience, having led medical departments at the Department of Defense, Central Intelligence Agency, and the White House.

Nominated Michael Duffey as the next Deputy Secretary of Defense for Procurement and Maintenance. The statement said that Michael Duffey had worked in the White House Office of Management and Budget and the Department of Defense during Trump’s first term. He will drive the transformation of the Department of Defense, revitalize America’s defense industrial base, and rebuild the U.S. military.

Nominate Emil Michael as the next Deputy Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. Emil Michael graduated from Harvard University and holds a law degree from Stanford University. He has founded several successful tech companies, including Uber, and has served as a special assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Defense. Trump said Emil Michael will ensure that the U.S. military has the most advanced weapons technology in the world.

Nominate Elbridge Colby as the next Deputy Secretary of Defense for Policy. Trump stated in a declaration that Elbridge Colby, a graduate of Harvard University and Yale Law School, demonstrated outstanding performance at the Department of Defense during Trump’s first presidential term, leading the release of Trump’s 2018 National Defense Strategy report.

Nominate Stephen Vaden as the next Deputy Secretary of the US Department of Agriculture. Stephen Vaden is a judge at the US Court of International Trade and has won two cases in the US Supreme Court. Scott Kupor has been nominated as the next director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. Scott Kupor holds a law degree and a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Stanford University. Nominate Bo Hines as the Executive Director of the Presidential Digital Asset Advisory Committee (i.e. Cryptocurrency Committee), which is a new advisory group composed of professionals in the cryptocurrency industry, supervised by David Sachs.

Nominate Lynne Parker as the next Executive Director of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) and Senior Advisor to the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) at the White House. In the statement, Trump stated that PCAST will bring together the brightest scientific and technological minds in the United States to provide recommendations to the U.S. government on key issues such as artificial intelligence.

Nominated Sriram Krishnan as the next Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Trump stated in a declaration that Sriram Krishnan will work closely with David Sax to focus on ensuring the United States’ continued leadership in the field of artificial intelligence.

Nominate Ken Howery as the next US Ambassador to Denmark. Ken Howery is a world-renowned entrepreneur, investor, and public servant who has served as the US Ambassador to Sweden.

Nominate Callista Gingrich as the next US Ambassador to Switzerland. Trump stated in the announcement that Callista Gingrich had done an excellent job as the US Ambassador to the Vatican during Trump’s first term.

Nominate Mauricio Claver-Carone as the State Department’s Special Envoy for Latin American Affairs. Mauricio Claver-Carone has served as the Senior Director for Western Hemisphere Affairs at the White House.
