ZKFair: Why are we postponing Gas fee Airdrop until December 24th?

星球日报

We were scheduled to launch the Gas Fee Airdrop campaign at 11:00 on the 23rd, on a first-come, first-served basis, as originally planned. This rule is designed to allow all users to participate fairly and in the way they wish. However, we were forced to pause and eventually cancel the Airdrop on the 23rd about an hour after the event started for several reasons:

  • The enthusiasm of the community is too high, and the number of participants exceeds expectations. In total, we have more than 440, 000 unique users on our backend, and more than 10 million requests at peak RPC. We didn’t expect such a high volume of requests.
  • Some addresses have an unusually high transaction frequency, and Nodes have been attacked by some IP Addresses. This indicates that there are a large number of scripts that frequently submit transactions, violating our community-driven philosophy of fair launches.

Therefore, we have decided to temporarily adjust the Gas Fee Airdrop rules and reopen the Gas Fee Airdrop campaign for 7.5 billion ZKF Tokens tomorrow. And will expand the server capacity to provide a better user experience.

At the same time, we promise that the gas fee consumed by users during the period of 11:00-13:00 (UTC+8) on the 23rd will be fully refunded to the original Address. We have completed all refunds. Here we publish a list of addresses for full refunds.

New Gas Fee Airdrop Rules

To ensure fair participation by community users, we have created new Gas Fee Airdrop rules. The total amount is still 75% ZKF Token, and the Gas Fee is $3 million, which means that ZKF’s total initial FDV is only $4 million. At the end of the event, 100% of the Tokens will be immediately circulated and open for claim, and no additional Tokens will be released in the future.

Event Rules:

  • Total ZKF Token Supply: 7.5 billion.
  • Total Gas Fee: $3,000,000.
  • The event lasts 48 hours and is divided into four 12-hour phases. Each stage will have 1.875 billion tokens, worth $750,000.
  • At each stage, Tokens are distributed based on the user’s Gas Fee contribution.
  • At the end of each period, the excess gas fee will be refunded on a pro-rata basis after the end of the event. Example: If $1 million in gas fees is spent in the first 12 hours, and user Alice spends $10, 000, she will receive 1% of the Token. Alice will also receive a $2, 500 gas fee refund.

Additional information:

  • The official ZKFair team will not be involved in Gas Fee Airdrop.
  • Address for receiving L2 Gas Fee will be publicly disclosed.
  • Users can claim ZKF Tokens 24 hours after the end of Airdrop.

Gas !️ Fee Restriction Rules:

Gas Fee Airdrop is a fair launch Token release method to enable more community users to participate, thus ensuring the fairness of the community as a whole. During the Gas Fee Airdrop campaign, we set some limits on transaction frequency and single transaction to prevent large Addresses from taking up too much Airdrop.

The specific restrictions are as follows:

  • Gas Price cap per transaction: 200, 000 Gwei.
  • Gas Limit per transaction: 500, 000.
  • Transaction frequency limit per IP Address.
