Although the secondary market heat of the inscription plate has decreased this week, due to its extremely low casting cost, the popularity of primary casting continues to rise, and all-night inscriptions have become the norm for many users in recent times. Odaily reviews several recent inscription projects that have been in high demand.

STXS: Suddenly Open Mint, Late Night Rush
STXS was a very sudden project, and the official Twitter account was that the mint was created in the early morning of the 18th, and the mint officially opened at 5 a.m. on the same day (Figure 1-1).

(Figure 1-1 STXS Foundry Website)
Due to the high heat and the network congestion of the BTC chain at that time (only one block was produced in more than 40 minutes), all users were in a state of waiting to be put on the chain for 2 hours after the start of minting.
In addition, the incident happened suddenly and in the middle of the night, and very few communities in China could prepare STX in their STX wallets in advance to wait for minting. When the Alpha community proposed the project and made a strategy, it was already difficult for the exchange to withdraw coins and even quickly closed the withdrawal function. Even the first wave of “old players” who reacted quickly, when they mentioned the STX Chain wallet, it was already the end of minting, and they could only be snapped up by pulling GAS. Therefore, the project has a characteristic: foreigners participate a lot, and the initial positions are scattered.
There are two reasons for the popularity of the STXS project: one is that STX, as the native L2 project of the BTC chain, may become the focus of the narrative, and STXS, as the first inscription project of the chain, is expected to be full. Second, the project was initiated by foreign communities, and overseas popularity is high.
In the secondary market, the OTC price of STXS reached $400 on the day of minting. While there was some FUD sentiment from last night’s indexing issue, today’s OTC trading shows that the price is trading in a range of $500-600 (Figure 1-3).

SOFI: Backed by physical applications, invested
On December 17, the BSC on-chain SOFI inscription began to be minted, and within an hour and a half, a total of more than 5.25 million transactions were made, and 622.092 BNB were consumed (Figure 2-1)

(Figure 2-1: SOFI minting data)
And, thanks to the inscription casting carried out on the BSC chain, which is relatively familiar to everyone, the degree of the volume has once again increased by an order of magnitude. In the past, it was a contest between “scientists” and “hand-rubbing parties”, but the casting of SOFI is a contest between “scientists” to see whose scripts are easy to use and whose private nodes are stable.
There are several reasons why this project is popular:
At present, the official tweet said that SOFI’s secondary trading market is about to open, and the current OTC price is around $2 (OTC price fluctuations will be great due to liquidity, poor information, etc.).

CIAS: Gas Pull to Fly
TIA’s first inscription, CIAS, started at 10 p.m. on December 17, but due to the large number of participants, the minting didn’t take long for the page to start crashing. The project team was forced to suspend the minting and changed the casting time to 2 a.m. on December 19.

(Figure 3-1 Official Casting Homepage)
Although there are quite a few complaints from the community, the popularity of the second minting is still unabated, and the on-chain gas fees continue to soar. Figure 3-2 below shows a user using 41.5 TIA (about $500) to fill up gas in order to play CIAS.

(Figure 3-2: Extreme User Pulling Gas Records)
Many “hand-rubbed” gas costs about 8 TIA (about $100) to grab, as shown in Figure 3-3, and the final average cost is about $1 per CIAS.

(Figure 3-3: The first time the gas is pulled)
In addition, the entire inscription minting process still had some shortcomings, the RPC almost collapsed, the transfer operation could not be carried out normally at that time, and the performance of Celestia was also challenged: a block was produced in about 12 seconds on average, but a block was produced in more than 40 seconds during the minting.

(Figure 3-4: Normal block generation of the TIA chain)

(Figure 3-5: TIA Block production during chain casting)
In addition, there is another point to complain about, at that time, almost all major exchanges suspended the withdrawal of TIA, resulting in TIA people because the gas was too high in the first place, and the TIA in the wallet disappeared without a few inscriptions TIA;

INJS: Passive paid to free
INJ tokens soared in this round of market, and the popularity of communities at home and abroad is very high. So when INJS, the first inscription project on INJ, announced the start of minting and received official endorsements, it quickly attracted the inscription community at home and abroad.
Although INJS postponed a minting time and needed to mint for a fee (0.03 INJ to play one piece), there were still many “hand-rubbing parties” who showed up on time on the night of the 19th. However, the problem soon appeared, not long after the start of casting, Injective’s official Twitter tweet released a sentence “Please do not participate in the inscription project INJS”, which caused the inscription community to explode, and users who paid for the call began to attack the project party in the INJS official Twitter comments, demanding refunds. (Figure 4-1)

Finally, in the face of pressure, the INJS project team announced that it would return the funds, and gave a list of collected addresses at 5 o’clock this morning, saying that the full refund would be completed within 24 hours. This evening, the INJS project announced that it will restart minting at 22 pm on the 21st, and will announce valid block information 1 hour before the opening. The question arises, will you continue to participate tomorrow?
