Solana Mobile announces the upcoming launch of the SKR native token in January 2026, making it the economic and governance core of the Seeker mobile ecosystem. The official full tokenomics were released today, including a 30% airdrop, a 25% ecosystem growth fund, and a staking-based inflation model, aiming to create a highly decentralized, user and developer-driven mobile platform. This move shows that Solana is positioning mobile devices as the next battlefield for Web3 expansion.
Solana Mobile launches ecosystem token SKR, debuting in January next year
Solana Labs subsidiary Solana Mobile announced that its flagship product, the Seeker mobile ecosystem token SKR, will go live in January 2026 and become the core driving force of the Seeker mobile ecosystem.
Solana Labs co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko also reposted on X, stating: “It only takes 10 years to build an ecosystem,” suggesting that Solana sees mobile devices as the next major arena for Web3 expansion.
Reportedly, SKR will be responsible for governance, incentives, user rewards, and ownership distribution, making the entire Solana Mobile ecosystem more complete.

SKR token allocation revealed: 30% airdrop to device buyers and long-term users
According to the official website, SKR has a fixed total supply of 10 billion tokens, with users as the priority for allocation.
The official token distribution is: 30% for airdrop ((including Seeker device users and active dApp users)), 25% for ecosystem growth and partnership programs, 10% for providing liquidity and launch support, 10% as a community treasury, and 15% and 10% allocated to Solana Mobile and Solana Labs, respectively.
The team emphasized that this allocation is designed to expand the user base and establish long-term incentives for developers and partners.
Staking incentives combined with linear inflation: SKR economic model boosts early ecosystem growth
Solana Mobile also stated that SKR will adopt a linear inflation model to incentivize early participants, making staking a key to ecosystem security and scaling.
The token issuance will have a 10% inflation rate in the first year, decreasing annually by 25% until it stabilizes at around 2%. Officials stressed that this design can provide strong momentum during the platform’s early growth while avoiding excessive long-term dilution, keeping issuance healthy and predictable.
Strong demand for Seeker phone, more SKR vision to be revealed at Breakpoint
In August, Solana Mobile announced that pre-orders for the second-generation Seeker phone had reached 150,000 units, with shipments underway to over 50 countries worldwide.
Seeker is developed on Android and includes hardware-level key security module Seed Vault, Solana dApp Store, and a Genesis Token that allows users to earn SKR rewards, reinforcing its position as a “blockchain-native smartphone.”
Officials stated that more details on SKR’s ecosystem plans will be unveiled at the Breakpoint conference in Abu Dhabi from December 11 to 13, 2025.
