Bitfinex Enables Support for XAUT0 on Plasma

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, British Virgin Islands – 24 November, 2025 – Bitfinex (https://www.bitfinex.com/), a premier digital asset trading platform, announced support for deposits and withdrawals of XAUT0 on the Plasma network beginning today, 24 November, 2025.

XAUT0 is a tokenised version of gold that aims to expand the accessibility of digital gold on high-performance, interoperable blockchain infrastructure. This integration allows Bitfinex users to deposit and withdraw XAUT0 on Plasma, facilitating faster cross-chain transactions that are more secure and cost-efficient

The launch comes at a pivotal moment, as the tokenised gold sector recently surpassed $3 billion in market value. At the same time, Plasma, a Layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for stablecoins, launched with over $2.5 billion in total value locked (TVL). By delivering decentralised and scalable payment rails, Plasma aligns with Bitfinex’s mission to empower financial freedom worldwide, marking a major milestone for stablecoin infrastructure supporting real-world assets.

Following the XAUT0 integration with The Open Network (TON) and Solana, and now with the addition of Plasma, Bitfinex continues its efforts to bring greater flexibility and enhanced utility to tokenised assets. Bitfinex customers can convert between XAUT0 and XAUT, and vice-versa, at a 1:1 ratio using the platform’s built-in Currency Conversion tool.
