When discussing a new bill aimed at imposing severe sanctions on Russia that is being advanced by the U.S. Senate, Trump stated, “I’m not sure we need this.” Trump mentioned that some senior Republican members of the Senate are actively pushing for this. He does not want them to “waste time.” However, he also remarked, “This could be useful, and we will see.”
