According to TheVerge, OpenAI announced on May 15 that its latest flagship AI model, GPT-4.1, is now available to all ChatGPT paying users, including Plus, Pro, and Team account users, who can access it through the model selection menu. At the same time, GPT-4.1 mini has become the default model for all users ( including free account ), replacing the previous GPT-4o mini. According to OpenAI, the new model performs well in coding tasks and instruction execution, supporting contextual windows of up to 1 million tokens, far exceeding the 128,000 token limit of the previous model. Enterprise and educational users will gain access in the coming weeks, but the smallest model, GPT-4.1 nano, has not yet been rolled out in this update.
