Initia, a blockchain project focused on multi-chain infrastructure, announced a large airdrop consisting of 50 million INIT tokens to reward its early supporters ahead of the upcoming mainnet launch.

The distribution constitutes 5% of the project’s total supply of 1 billion tokens.

The majority of the Airdrop, approximately 44.7 million tokens or about 90%, will be allocated to 194,294 users participating in Initia’s 2024 testnet campaigns. These campaigns included interactive on-chain events designed to test the robustness of Initia’s infrastructure, including the virtual pet breeding initiative “Jennie.”

In addition to testnet participants, 2.25 million INIT (% 4.5) will be distributed to active users of Initia’s ecosystem partners, including LayerZero, IBC, and MilkyWay, based on transaction history. An additional 3 million tokens (%6) will be allocated to social participants who played a role in the growth of Initia’s presence on Discord, Telegram, and X.

The Initia Foundation announced that internal contributors are excluded from the airdrop and that the rewards will remain within a broader community. Users can check their eligibility through Initia’s official airdrop website.
