GateChain Mainnet V17 Upgrade Announcement
The GateChain is scheduled to upgrade its mainnet to version V17 on August 18, 2025, between 06:00 and 10:00 UTC. The upgrade is expected to take 3–4 hours, during which RPC services may be unavailable. To prevent any potential disruptions or losses, users are advised to pause all on-chain transactions via RPC during this upgrade window.

Upgrade Details:
- GateChain Version Upgrade
a. Blockchain version upgraded to V17 - Trading Fee Validation
a. STD trading fees must now be greater than base fee
b. Adds GasRemaining to GasMeter for querying remaining gas - EVM Transaction Adjustments
a. EVM account initial nonce reset to zero
b. Default gas for EVM transfer set to 21,000 gas - Block Production Optimization
a. Introduces gasFeeThreshold mechanism to avoid staking rewards cheating from insignificant transactions - RPC Interface Improvements
a. Introduces LRU cache mechanism at the API layer for improved access efficiency
b. Adds new RPC interfaces - Other Fixes and Improvements
a. Fixes indefinite node waiting issue caused by gas exhaustion
b. Fixes concurrent map read panic errors
c. Fixes precision issues in values returned by RPC interfaces

The GateChain V17 upgrade will be available for download via the link above no later than August 18, 2025.
All validator and node operators, as well as any users or developers running a full-node wallet, are advised to upgrade to the latest version during or immediately after the scheduled upgrade window on August 18, 2025, 06:00 – 10:00 (UTC).
