When AI projects talk about Decentralization, why was FLock able to secure real orders from the United Nations?
First on Upbit, and today it has been included in Coinbase's listing roadmap, congratulations. To be honest, as a low-key and simple Token in my portfolio, FLOCK has truly amazed me a lot in the past six months. Let's chat about it:
Interestingly, while many AI projects are focusing on technical narratives and competing in computing power mining, FLOCK has been doing some things that are "not quite web3," such as discussing cooperation with the United Nations, collaborating with Alibaba Cloud Qwen, and organizing hackathons at universities in South Korea. At first glance, these activities may seem off-topic, but in reality, they are not necessarily so.
For example, the collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) gives a "wow" gilded feeling to Nubility, but upon further reflection, the UNDP chose FLock as its AI strategic partner precisely because of the value of "federated learning" in the protection of data sovereignty in developing countries—these regions need AI capabilities but cannot hand over their data to tech giants. FLock just happens to provide a solution of "data stays local while the model can be trained."
As for being selected by Alibaba Cloud's Qwen as the first decentralized AI training with an actual web2 use case, it certainly attracted attention in the context of the web frenzy at that time. In fact, it conveys one point: while other projects were still saying "we can train AI," FLock was already helping Qwen with the actual deployment of federated learning.
The subnet on Bittensor is quite astute, as it essentially rents existing AI infrastructure to solidify its core competitiveness in federated computing. This pragmatic approach of "not reinventing the wheel" is much more efficient than projects that insist on doing everything on their own.
In addition, there are activities to jointly launch AI model tuning with Neo, SpoonOS, etc., to expand the developer ecosystem, and the Moonbase roadmap is also clearly advancing, aiming to enter Stage 2 and 3 in Q4, etc. The key is that, although it has experienced a wave of decline like most tokens, there was a 70% increase after being listed on the two major exchanges in South Korea, first delisted by Binance Alpha and then mysteriously relisted, etc., a lot of drama has happened. But despite this, from the beginning of the year to now, there has been a 5-fold rebound from the bottom, and the circulating market value has only reached 5,000w.
This is why I have always found this small Portfolio Madrid incredible; the holding experience brought by such coins is unmatched by most altcoins.
Anyway, what FLock has been doing over the past few months is actually a "pragmatic style". So in the end, when many projects can only talk about the "decentralized AI narrative", FLock has genuinely gained real use cases from UN clients, technical validation from Alibaba Cloud's Qwen model, a user base in the Korean market, and so on. Isn't this what everyone wants to see from project teams "getting things done"?
Of course, perhaps I am just grateful that I chose a treasure from the vast sea of coins back then, but the value of the choice itself is incredibly high, the extensibility of the technical narrative, the dynamic observation of project operation and implementation, the reliability and trust of the core team members, and so on... Let's not get too carried away.
In conclusion, I hope that the altcoins in everyone's hands can bring a good "holding experience."
