A Golden Finance report stated that investment bank TD Cowen believes that the Trump administration may bring positive changes to entities working with banks, but expectations for this new regulatory environment should be within a “reasonable range”.
A Cowen TD Washington Research Group (led by Jaret Seiberg) wrote in a report that banks have a responsibility to comply with anti-money laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) rules, and manage risks such as liquidity and concentration. Analysts said, “Even if Trump’s regulatory agencies are no longer so concerned about the increasing connection between traditional finance and encryption currencies, this will still lead some banks to remain cautious, which is why some banks may still consider the risk too great, while others will seize the opportunity. In addition, some encryption currency entities may refuse any government supervision. This may limit the comfort of banks to cooperate with them.”
No entanto, Jaret Seiberg afirmou que a conexão entre finanças tradicionais e moedas de encriptação é ‘inevitável’ sob a liderança do governo Trump.
