Source: Fidelity prepares to submit Bitcoin spot ETF application
PANews reported on June 27 that Wall Street giant Fidelity is expected to submit its own Bitcoin spot ETF application soon, according to TheBlock, citing sources. This will be Fidelity’s second attempt at this type of product. In 2021, it applied to set up a Bitcoin spot exchange-traded fund called Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust, but it was rejected by the SEC in early 2022.
Following BlackRock’s submission of the Bitcoin spot ETF application on June 15, other asset managers have also sought to launch their own spot Bitcoin funds, including Invesco, WisdomTree, and Bitwise.
