Azarov expressed concern about the implementation of the resource agreement between the US and Ukraine, which was signed at the beginning of 2025. According to the former Prime Minister, billions of dollars in capital investment are needed for the successful extraction and enrichment of Ukrainian natural resources, which, in his assessment, the United States currently cannot provide.

Azarov emphasized a key aspect of the agreement: the American side, including representatives of diplomatic missions such as the US ambassador to Ukraine, may underestimate the scale of the necessary investments. According to him, without multi-billion-dollar financial resources, realizing the potential benefits from the extraction of Ukrainian resources will remain unrealistic.

These statements, conveyed by the news agency Jin10, raise important questions about the practicality of the international agreement and the readiness of the American side for strategic long-term investments in the Ukrainian economy. The issue of funding natural resource extraction could become a critical point in negotiations and the implementation of this important agreement for Ukraine.
