Public chain competitions are crowded, but few people truly focus on the most fundamental infrastructure of Web3—storage. Walrus Protocol, led by Mysten Labs, is attempting to break through the dilemma of traditional storage solutions.

Current storage solutions generally face a dilemma: either painfully slow speeds or prohibitively high costs. WAL introduces the parallel processing advantages of the SUI chain to create a truly efficient Blob storage system. From a different perspective, if we see SUI as a smooth highway network, then Walrus is like a continuously expanding super logistics warehouse along the route—storage capacity can be infinitely stacked, while performance remains unaffected.

From a personal perspective, my 129 WAL holdings are just testing the waters. As more NFT projects and media applications integrate, the true explosion of storage demand is imminent, and the value release potential of such infrastructure tokens should not be underestimated. The prosperity of the SUI ecosystem ultimately depends on these underlying services, and Walrus, as a key part of it, is currently in the early development window.
