委內瑞拉打敗美國，奪WBC經典賽首冠
全球棒球迷關注的 2026 年 WBC 世界棒球經典賽冠軍戰已在稍早結束，由委內瑞拉以 3 比 2 擊敗美國，奪下隊史首座冠軍。
比賽過程高潮迭起，美國隊在第八局靠著布萊斯·哈波（Bryce Harper）敲出追平全壘打，將比分扳成 2 比 2 平手。進入第九局，委內瑞拉的路易斯·厄萊茲（Luis Arráez）率先獲得保送，隨後代跑的哈維爾·薩諾哈（Javier Sanoja）成功盜上二壘。
接著尤埃尤亨尼歐·蘇亞瑞茲（Eugenio Suárez）擊出關鍵的超前二壘安打，護送跑者回到本壘得分，奠定勝基。
九局下半，**委內瑞拉派出丹尼爾·帕倫西亞（Daniel Palencia）投手救援，以時速高達 99.7 英里的速球，把羅曼·安東尼（Roman Anthony）**三振出局，成功守住勝利。

在賽事期間，Polymarket 交易員們普遍預測美國隊的奪冠機率長期維持在高檔，而委內瑞拉的機率則一直在 50% 以下的低檔盤整，但結果顯示預測翻車。
一位錢包名稱為 weflyhigh 的交易員將成為這個賭盤的最大贏家。根據持倉數據，該交易員精準判斷局勢，總共持有 20 萬股委內瑞拉奪冠的 YES 份額，並同時持有 30 萬股美國隊無法奪冠的 NO 份額。
雖然該交易員尚未結算其持倉，但目前數據顯示，其委內瑞拉的部位估可獲利約 137,899 美元，美國隊的部位則獲利約 206,849 美元，總計獲利超過 344,749 美元（約 1,097 萬台幣）。
MLB專家預測回顧，多項預測翻車
回顧 2026 WBC 經典賽開賽前，MLB 專家曾預測本屆賽事的前八強將由波多黎各、加拿大、美國、墨西哥、日本、南韓、多明尼加與委內瑞拉拿下。
然而比對大會官方公佈的最終賽程表，墨西哥並未如期晉級，義大利則成為本屆黑馬，殺出重圍進入八強，甚至一路挺進到四強賽才敗給委內瑞拉。
**在前三名方面，MLB 專家原本最看好美國奪冠、多明尼加亞軍、日本季軍。**但奪下冠軍的是賽前未被多數專家列入前三名的委內瑞拉。

原本被看好的日本隊，在八強賽就遭到委內瑞拉淘汰出局，多明尼加則在四強賽敗給美國。美國隊雖然順利挺進冠軍戰，但最終屈居亞軍，而最終獲得 MVP 的麥凱爾·賈西亞也沒有被列進當時的預測中，可以說這次結果有許多讓 MLB 專家出乎意料的地方。
