Gate News 消息，3 月 11 日，美国马萨诸塞州联邦检察官办公室披露，已提起民事没收诉讼，拟追回约 344.4 万枚 USDT（价值约 344.4 万美元），这些资产涉嫌为在线投资欺诈和洗钱计划的收益。该案件涉及至少 4 名受害者，包括 2 名马萨诸塞州居民、1 名犹他州居民和 1 名南卡罗来纳州居民。诈骗者通过短信或 WhatsApp、Telegram 等加密通讯应用发送看似误发的消息与受害者建立联系，随后诱导受害者投资所谓由实物黄金支持的以太坊投资机会。受害者被要求购买 ETH 并转账至诈骗者控制的中间钱包，诈骗者随后将 ETH 转换为 USDT 并转移至非托管钱包窃取资金。
