Trong khi đó, số lượng vị thế long và short theo xu hướng hiện gần như cân bằng—một trạng thái hiếm gặp trong lịch sử thị trường phái sinh tiền mã hóa và khó có thể kéo dài lâu. Trên thị trường hợp đồng tương lai vĩnh cửu, open interest vẫn duy trì ổn định nhưng funding rate liên tục âm, cho thấy nhu cầu phòng hộ và bán khống đang gia tăng.
Đáng chú ý, các giao dịch basis trade của Ethena đã giảm hơn 60% kể từ ngày 8/2, từ hơn 2 tỷ USD xuống dưới 800 triệu USD. Sự sụt giảm này chủ yếu do nhà đầu tư đóng các vị thế basis từng mang lại lợi nhuận nhưng khó duy trì, đồng thời chịu áp lực từ hoạt động hedging và các vị thế short theo xu hướng.
