BlockBeats News: On March 11, economists at Wall Street investment bank JPMorgan Chase raised the risk of a recession this year to 40% from 30% in early 2025. “Because of the extreme policies of the United States, we think there is a high risk that the United States will fall into recession this year.” Morgan Stanley economists cut their economic growth forecasts last week and raised their inflation forecasts. The bank forecasts GDP growth of just 1.5% in 2025 and a slowdown to 1.2% in 2026. In addition, Goldman Sachs economists also raised the probability of a 12-month recession from 15% to 20%. They said forecasts could rise further if the Trump administration “sticks to policy despite worse data.”
