Russian military confirms first combat launch of Kinzhal missile by Su-34

Golden Ten Data on January 13, the official newspaper of the Russian Ministry of Defense “Red Star” published an article today (January 13), confirming for the first time that the Russian army “successfully launched the ‘Dagger’ hypersonic missile from the Su-34 fighter during the special military operation”. The report did not mention the exact time and place of the launch. Earlier, TASS had reported citing sources that the Russian army used the Su-34 to launch the “Dagger” missile. The Russian army has previously used MiG-31 fighters to launch “Dagger” missiles. Compared to the MiG-31, the Su-34 has a longer flight range and better concealment.
