Dogecoin biggest supporter and CEO of X, Tesla, SpaceX, Elon Musk, is once again at the center of controversy, as the entrepreneur made some remarks at the DealBook summit hosted by The New York Times.

In the interview, Jesse Powell, co-founder and former CEO of the crypto exchange Kraken, shared his views, specifically about Musk’s approach to running the social media platform.

X (Twitter) was once a publicly traded company in the United States, but was later acquired by Musk for billions of dollars as an attempt to “save free speech”. At the DealBook summit, the entrepreneur claimed that the platform was “conquered” by the US government.

In addition, Musk said that this so-called control violates the U.S. Constitution and the First Amendment: “All Twitter is basically a puppet of the government, and this level is ridiculous.” In terms of the degree of government control over all of Twitter, this appears to be a serious violation of the First Amendment. ”

The Kraken co-founder has expressed support for Musk because the social media platform’s current CEO has been implementing policy changes to “protect free speech.”

Powell said through his X account, “Twitter provides an extremely strong argument for ‘billionaires shouldn’t exist.’” In fact, it proves that we need to keep at least one person worth $44 billion. ”

Some members of the Crypto community also agree with Powell and his defense of Musk. While some acknowledge that Musk did play a role in “protecting freedom,” others argue that the concentration of power by individuals and entities should be prevented.

In the same interview, Musk also talked about the advertising problems that the platform is facing. Some big-name companies, such as Apple, IBM, and Disney, decided to stop marketing campaigns on X because their ads were spotted by media watchdog group Media Matters appearing next to “pro-Nazi” posts.

Musk said something like “you X’s” directly to Disney CEO Bob Iger. In the aftermath, Disney’s streaming (Disney+) service records showed an increase in the number of people leaving the service, which caused a carnival among Musk’s followers.

And, on X, thousands of users have canceled their Disney+ subscriptions.
