In September this year, the monthly trading volume of the A-share market set a new historical record.
Jin10 Data reported on October 4th that the A-share market in September and the third quarter of this year has concluded. During this period, the main indices performed well, with the ChiNext Index and the STAR 50 Index standing out, particularly the ChiNext Index which saw a cumulative rise of over 50% in the third quarter of this year. The overall upward trend in the market was also accompanied by a significant increase in trading volume, as the monthly trading volume of the A-share market in September set a historical record. In terms of the number of shares traded, in September this year, the total trading volume of the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and North Stock Exchanges reached approximately 33 trillion shares, making it the second highest monthly trading volume in history, only behind the monthly trading volume in November 2024. In terms of trading value, the total trading value of the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and North Stock Exchanges in September was approximately 53.2 trillion yuan, setting a new historical high for monthly trading value.
