Nature: Scientists achieve continuous operation of a 3000 Quantum Bit system
According to a report by Golden Finance, a paper published in the journal Nature on September 15 shows that a research team from Harvard University and MIT demonstrated an experimental architecture for continuous operation in high-speed heavy load and large-scale atomic array systems, while achieving coherent storage and manipulation of quantum information. The researchers achieved a light capture load rate of 300,000 atoms per second, generating more than 30,000 initialized Quantum Bits per second, and assembled and maintained an array containing over 3,000 atoms for more than two hours of continuous operation. The scientists involved in this research stated that this achievement lays the foundation for the development of large-scale continuously operating fault-tolerant Quantum Computers.
