According to the Hamlin University research institution "Violence Project," there have been 5 incidents of politicians being assassinated or attempted assassinations since the beginning of 2021, including two attacks against Trump in 2024. Analysts Jennifer Welch and Martin Quick stated: "Political violence is contrary to a healthy democracy.
