PI Approaches All-Time Low — 149 Million Token Unlocks Could Trigger Massive Sale
During the trading session on Wednesday, the price of Pi Network (PI) continued to fall, approaching the all-time low of (ATL) set on August 1 at 0.322 USD. Currently, PI is trading around 0.340 USD, down nearly 17% from the beginning of the month. According to data from PiScan, in the upcoming September, more than 149 million PI tokens will be unlocked (unlock), worth approximately 50.71 million USD. This unlock event may increase selling pressure in the market, as a sudden increase in supply often causes prices to fall, although part of the impact has already been anticipated and positions adjusted by investors. Liquidity and interest level fall In addition to the pressure from token unlocks, data from Artemis Terminal shows that the daily trading volume of PI has been gradually falling since mid-May. On Tuesday, the trading volume only reached 43.8 million USD, reflecting a cooling of interest and liquidity in the market. This is a warning signal for investors that market sentiment is weakening. Price prediction for Pi Network If the downtrend continues, PI may fall back to the ATL level of 0.322 USD. Conversely, in the event of increased buying pressure, the price may recover to the daily resistance level of 0.400 USD. However, with the decreasing trading volume and the upcoming massive unlock event, the risk of price adjustment remains very high. Investors need to closely monitor the unlock events and liquidity fluctuations to adjust their trading strategies, avoiding falling into unexpected sell-offs.
