The founder of ElizaOS claims that the X platform charges a monthly fee of $50,000 for "violating Open Source Source Code."

PANews, June 18, reported that Shaw, the founder of ElizaOS, posted on Farcaster claiming that X (formerly Twitter) accused him of violating the terms of service, alleging that he sold data and bypassed the API Secret Key to sell products, using his Open Source Source Code as evidence, and demanding a monthly corporate license fee of $50,000. Shaw denied commercial use, stating that he currently only pays a total of $1,200/month for basic verification and development licenses, calling X's actions "blatant extortion," and questioning their legality, considering whether to file a lawsuit.
