Taiwan exchange BitoPro suspected of being hacked! On-chain detective ZachXBT questions whether Bitopro has been stolen 11.5 million yet pretends nothing happened.
On-chain detective ZachXBT blew the whistle, questioning BitoPro being hacked and claiming nothing happened.
On-chain detective ZachXBT recently warned on his personal channel: "On May 8, 2025, the Taiwanese cryptocurrency exchange BitoPro may be hacked for about $11.5 million. Suspicious fund outflows have been observed from hot wallets such as Tron, Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon, with market assets being sold through DEX. The stolen funds were subsequently deposited into Tornado or cross-chained to Bitcoin through Thorchain and stored in Wasabi." He questioned why BitoPro did not disclose the incident on official social media and simply informed users that maintenance was being carried out.
$11.5 million suspected to be hacked, funds entered a mixer.
According to the address information he provided, Arkham noted that BitoPro's hot wallet (0xdD72A29eF5395a9C7de8e18ff8F22fd8B8f8A889) 0x2453933c98b6e55397103f7c1081626e0a02d2c9 on the Polygon chain BitoPro's Tron and Solana wallets also transferred funds to TRoLEoNiiod5m8TSdmSR4iW17yQCfc2YJV, G1bdPViZztqV5ptH3mVyXdAKYRm1jBhGiGvdDx9LmaCd.
After these funds are sold through the Dex Router, they are subsequently deposited into the mixer Tornado, or cross-chain to the Bitcoin mainnet via Thorchain, and then deposited into Wasabi. It is reported that the transferred funds amount to as high as 11.5 million dollars.
