PANews 1月30日消息，据彭博社报道，欧洲央行执行董事会成员Piero Cipollone表示，推出数字欧元对于保障欧洲的战略自主性至关重要，旨在减少对欧洲以外支付系统（如Visa、万事达卡和PayPal）的依赖。Cipollone指出，欧洲目前在支付系统上严重依赖非欧洲供应商，如果不采取行动，这种依赖性将会增加。数字欧元计划于2027年启动试点阶段，并于2029年开始发行。他强调，此举并非针对特定国家或公司的反应，而是履行欧洲央行的职责，确保支付系统的正常运转，并降低因过度依赖外部关键基础设施而带来的系统性风险。在谈及稳定币时，Cipollone警告称，这类由私人发行的数字资产可能“威胁金融稳定”。他认为，应对之策是向公众提供简单、可靠的欧元计价替代方案，确保公共货币与私人货币的有效结合。目前，数字欧元项目的法律框架仍在等待欧洲议会最终批准，部分议员倾向于私营部门的解决方案。
