Elon Musk đã công bố một tầm nhìn đầy tham vọng kết hợp năng lực AI của SpaceX với phương thức sản xuất TERAFAB của Tesla. Dự án “SpaceXAI + Tesla TERAFAB” hướng tới mục tiêu đạt một nghìn tỷ watt năng lực tính toán mỗi năm, đánh dấu bước nhảy vọt lớn trong hạ tầng trí tuệ nhân tạo.

Musk cho biết Mỹ hiện chỉ tạo ra khoảng 0,5 terawatt điện, đồng nghĩa nhu cầu này không thể đáp ứng hoàn toàn trên Trái Đất. Vì vậy, ông đề xuất phần lớn năng lực tính toán sẽ phải đặt ngoài không gian, nơi hạn chế về năng lượng ít hơn.
