At GDC 2026 in San Francisco, where NEXUS is running a 12-booth installation at the Moscone Center, the company announced a signed MOU with WolvesCo, also known as WolvesDAO. WolvesCo is a Web3 think tank with a reputation for thought leadership, venture capital insight, and community building across the open gaming space. The partnership brings that network directly into the CROSS gamechain ecosystem.

What WolvesCo Actually Is

WolvesCo is not a typical marketing partner. It operates as a community-driven organization made up of creators, investors, and developers with deep roots in Web3 gaming. The group has built a track record in content creation, venture deal flow, and organizing networking events that pull serious players from across the industry

For NEXUS, which is building infrastructure rather than consumer-facing games, that kind of network has practical value. Finding the right studios to onboard to CROSS is a discovery and relationship problem as much as a technical one. WolvesCo has spent years solving exactly that.

NEXUS x WolvesCo: What the Partnership Covers

The MOU outlines several areas of collaboration. NEXUS and WolvesCo will work together to identify and incubate early-stage game studios. The goal is to find strong potential for the CROSS ecosystem.

Beyond studio discovery, the partnership includes integrating WolvesCo’s expert network into the CROSS ecosystem more broadly, with the goal of raising the quality bar for games that launch on the platform. Joint marketing campaigns, co-produced Web3 gaming content, and shared online and offline events are also part of the plan. The intent is a unified go-to-market approach rather than two organizations running parallel efforts that occasionally reference each other.

Why This Matters for CROSS

NEXUS built CROSS Protocol in 2025 and continues to develop the infrastructure around it, including SDKs, APIs, wallets, marketplaces, and explorers. The technical layer is there. What determines whether a gaming blockchain actually gets used is whether the right projects build on it and whether the community around it is real.

WolvesCo addresses both. A think tank with genuine venture relationships and a following in the developer and investor community is useful for attracting studios that have choices about where to build. Co-hosted events and content pipelines help keep the CROSS ecosystem visible in a space where attention moves fast and projects with quieter presences get overlooked regardless of their technical quality.

NEXUS is a KOSDAQ-listed company led by Henry Chang, former CEO of WEMIX, Wemade, and Neowiz Mobile. The team includes over 100 blockchain and gaming specialists, several of whom come from WEMIX’s founding group. That background gives the company credibility in the gaming industry that many pure Web3 infrastructure plays lack

The WolvesCo partnership extends that credibility into the community layer of the ecosystem.

Building the Right Network Before the Games Arrive

The GDC announcement timing is deliberate. GDC is where studios make platform and partnership decisions, and showing up with a 12-booth presence alongside a community partner like WolvesCo signals that CROSS is competing seriously for developer attention at the point where those decisions get made.

The open gaming sector is still early enough that the platforms which win long-term will likely be the ones that built the most trusted networks of studios, investors, and community members during the formative years

NEXUS is using the WolvesCo partnership to accelerate that process. Whether the joint studio pipeline and content output translates into meaningful adoption on CROSS is the next question. The infrastructure to support it is already in place.
