I. Highlights
1. The Ethereum Foundation sold 5,000 ETH to BitMNR early this morning through OTC trading at a unit price of $2,043 USD, with a total value of approximately $10.21 million.
2. This is the second time the Ethereum Foundation has used OTC trading to sell ETH to a treasury company. In July last year, it sold 10,000 ETH to Sharplink in a similar manner.
3. Tom Lee holds an extremely aggressive investment stance toward Ethereum, having accumulated over 4.5 million ETH, representing approximately 3.76% of the supply, with a target holding of 5%.
4. Tom Lee's total crypto and cash assets exceed $10 billion USD. He has been bullish on ETH since 2014, viewing it as a macro narrative and financial future for the next 10-15 years.
5. The Ethereum Foundation currently still holds approximately 167,650 ETH, valued at approximately $350 to $400 million USD. Relative to its $25.2 billion market cap, the holding ratio is considered relatively low.
6. Market views suggest that the Ethereum ecosystem's application scenarios continue to increase, with staking yield mechanisms and decentralization processes as long-term value support.
