Africa’s On-and-Off-Ramp Crypto Service, Bitnob, Partners with Bitcoin Play-2-Earn App, Zebedee, for African Gamers to Earn Sats

Zebedee, a crypto gaming and payments app, has announced a partnership with Bitnob, an African crypto on and off-ramp platform, to enable African users earn satoshis as rewards for playing games or listening to podcasts.

In addition, users will be able to convert their rewards into local currencies and use the app for cross-border payments, the company said in a press release. If they collect enough satoshis through playing games or listening to podcasts, they will have the option to convert them into their local currencies using Bitnob’s on and off-ramp platform.

Zebedee users can also use the app for making cross-border payments.

The Zebedee app description on Android Playstore says the app creates the tools game devs need to put money in their games.

“And we create tools for gamers to get those rewards simply by playing – CS:GO, racers, casual mobile games and more every day. It’s all powered by the Bitcoin Lightning Network. That’s what makes it all instant, global and with almost no fees!”

• Nigeria
• Kenya, and
• Rwanda

However, the company plans to expand it to other African countries in the future.

In a blog post, Zebedee said:

“The integration with Bitnob is Zebedee’s first step into the vast and diverse continent of Africa – but that’s just the beginning. We’re planning to expand our coverage to more countries supported by Bitnob, as well as many others to eventually provide a complete network of entry and exit points to the global economy through the [Bitcoin] Lightning Network.”

Zebedde adds that it has opened similar channels in Brazil (Bipa) and the Philippines (Pouch.ph) as well as several other key regions, including EU, US and the UK, and intends to continue building Lightning bridges until ‘we take down all financial borders.’
