What are Unigraphs?

Unigraphs is a collection of 555 artworks inscribed on the BTC chain. After working with Abstraordinals, I found that I could create a true work of art using the unique features on the BTC chain.

Ordinals are unique in that the file is inscribed on the satoshi (similar to the “cent” relative to the US dollar, the satoshi is the smallest unit of measurement for a Bitcoin, and a satoshi is equal to one BTC per billionth). Each satoshi has a number (ID) and text name (the image below shows some cool satosos).

Since each satoshi is unique, I came up with an idea to ensure randomness and use Satoshi’s numbering to recreate the generative artwork. I thought it was cool because that’s what I’ve been looking for – to create a way to issue artwork that is only possible on BTC. It’s a big deal for me because art evolves with possible mediums (think here about how cameras/computers are changing art).

What has been done around this idea and who are we?

With these initial ideas in mind, I went to Tansan (a very brilliant programmer), Spacem (a Web3 product manager), and my husband.

The result of our discussion is the idea of using a double-shot function. It’s a method that sounds difficult, but it’s actually very simple.

In our example below, it means that a unique number from 0 to 9 is assigned a graph that always corresponds to it. Given that each Satoshi has a unique numeric ID, each combination of the assigned graph corresponding to it will also be unique.

In this way, the 181676898676181 became a work of art.

Inspired by Mannerism, computer art, tribal art patterns, cryptography, and abstract modern art, I designed a graphic set of 10 different colors and 24 different shapes, which ensured the diversity of the artwork that was put together.

What’s even more fascinating is that cooler satoshis can create cooler, simpler artwork. For example, Satoshi 878678666876878 only has 3 unique numbers (3D pali). The image below is the artwork it will generate.

There are also some other satosa-based traits such as the length of the satoshi (there are already 13, 14, 15, and 16-digit satoshi numbers at the moment).

In addition, we have worked on optimizing the file size and loading speed. We combine two technologies: prebuild and runtime build art. Each artwork is randomly assigned a graphic during pregeneration, and then loaded into the browser when it is inscribed, and we use recursive inscriptions and JS to build the artwork. This makes each artwork only 3-4KB in size on average.

Some artworks have the characteristics of animation. This is to take advantage of another feature of the Bitcoin blockchain – halving. The video animation is looped, but there is a 60-second delay for the actual file. By 2140, the delay will be 1 second (though we’ll all be gone by then).

You can see it here:

Now, our collection has been inscribed and ready to finally reach collectors. **

100 Unigraphs will be given away for free to holders of Abstraordinals, 400 will be sold at 0.02 BTC each, and the remaining 55 will be kept by the team and partners.

How do I get 1?

There will be a whitelisting phase. I’m going to give them 10 people who retweet my tweets and reply to what they think about Unigraphs.

More whitelists will be sent to everyone on our Discord: and to our friends in the Ordinals Space.

When will it be released?

It will be sometime in December. Please follow me on Twitter for accurate dates.

What’s next?

I am committed to giving back the value to my art holders because they are the ones who support me the most. It means a lot to me.

I also think there is a lot of potential in the Ordinals space, and I want to build a community of like-minded people who want them to be interested in building on BTC, collecting art, Bitcoin scaling, and rare satosos, among others.

That’s why I’m going to create another PFP collection that will also be available to holders of my artwork for free.

I’m not good at hype. Creating a PFP creates adoration and emotional attachment in the community. It’s very necessary to build a community, so I’m going to be looking for people to do this with me – people who are really passionate and who will all be most rewarded when the PFP era comes.

Now, I’m going to go back and get back to work, because the work isn’t done yet.
