Singapore Plans Regulations to Curb Retail Crypto Speculation
Singapore is planning to implement additional regulations to curb retail speculation in cryptocurrencies. The proposed rules include barring individual investors from borrowing to trade and prohibiting digital payment token service providers from offering incentives for retail trading or providing financing. The regulations will gradually take effect from mid-2024 and will apply to all investors, regardless of residency.
