Last week, I was walking through a square at night and saw red envelopes on the ground. I thought it was superstitious and picked them up. Who knew that after picking them up, I started feeling stomach discomfort. As I kept walking, I saw an old man with a white beard, smiling eerily, without limbs, constantly leaning against a house and staring at me. I immediately thought I might have been cursed or possessed. I figured there was nothing I could do, so I decided to accept my misfortune and hope it would ward off disaster.

After going inside, I saw a few people dressed in the same clothes, like followers. I gave them the money, and they gave me a few headless dead chickens and some dark, murky water to swallow, which made me feel a bit better. From then on, I think it's better to trust no one when encountering these things—better safe than sorry.
