Ondo Finance submits a no-action request to the SEC to promote on-chain operation of the OGM product.
ME News Report, April 13 (UTC+8), according to the official Ondo Finance blog, Ondo Finance recently submitted a no-action request to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The request aims to confirm that the SEC will not take enforcement action against its model of tokenized management of specific securities interests on the Ethereum mainnet.
This request mainly concerns its Ondo Global Markets (OGM) product, which offers tokenized note products providing U.S. stock and ETF exposure for non-U.S. investors. Under this model, the underlying securities remain protected by existing laws, custodial, and record-keeping frameworks; official ledgers and records remain unchanged, with securities interests mapped to the Ethereum mainnet in tokenized form only in limited circumstances, custodized by BitGo, to support related record-keeping and operational processes.
