Goals Achieved, Trump Predicts Iran War Will End in 3 Weeks

President Donald J. Trump stated that the U.S. military operation against Iran is expected to conclude within the next two to three weeks. According to Bloomberg, Trump emphasized that the primary objectives of the U.S. military have largely been accomplished and that responsibility for securing the Strait of Hormuz will eventually be transferred to other countries.
While Trump left open the possibility of a deal during this period, he stressed that a formal agreement with Tehran is not an absolute requirement for the U.S. to end its military involvement. Trump indicated that the U.S. will withdraw once Iran is confirmed not to be able to acquire nuclear weapons, while also mentioning that the current regime is in a better position for post-war stability.
On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed that there has been a message exchange between his side and U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff. However, Araghchi emphasized that the ongoing process involves message exchanges through a third party or an Iranian friend, and is not an official negotiation table. Iran has stated that it has not yet responded to the 15-point proposal submitted by the U.S.
