Golden Finance reported on March 27 that the Iranian Parliament Speaker, Ghalibaf, made a firm statement today (March 27) regarding the potential threat of a ground invasion, stating: “The United States cannot even protect its soldiers in bases within this region, having to hide them in hotels and parks; under these circumstances, how can they possibly protect those soldiers on our territory?” Previously, Iranian Foreign Minister Al-Araghchi posted on social media, accusing the U.S. military of using civilians from Gulf Cooperation Council member states as “human shields.” He called on hotels in these countries to refuse bookings from the U.S. military. Al-Araghchi said: “Since this war began, the U.S. military has fled from military bases in GCC countries, hiding in hotels and office buildings.” (CCTV International News)
