Techub News reports that a court in Tel Aviv, Israel, revealed on Thursday that an Israeli Air Force reservist is accused of using confidential information to place bets on Polymarket regarding last year’s war between Israel and Iran.

The defendant, a former Air Force major, was indicted last month along with his alleged accomplices on charges including serious security offenses, bribery, and obstruction of justice. It is alleged that he placed bets on the timing of Israel’s initial airstrikes, which sparked a 12-day war in June 2025. According to the indictment, the reservist received a briefing on the operation at a secret meeting one day before the action began on June 13, and subsequently informed his accomplice about the offensive. It is claimed that the two profited $162,663 after winning the bet and agreed to split the money.
