Want to Get Rich in Crypto, Don't Misunderstand "Big Guts"
In the crypto market, many people still pass around the saying: to make money, you have to “be brave.” But in reality, this saying is only half true—and it can easily cost you if misunderstood.
Many newcomers to the market confuse “courage” with “recklessness.” Seeing prices rise, they experience FOMO; hearing about a few coins, they go all-in without thinking. They think it’s bravery, but in fact, it’s just gambling. The usual result: getting caught at the top, accounts evaporating, panic setting in.
So, what does “courage” really mean in crypto?
First, it means daring to wait.
Most of the time, the market has no clear trend—just sideways movement or slight declines. This is when people are most impatient. Many can’t stand the feeling of “doing nothing,” constantly trading, and ultimately eroding their capital. Those with “courage” are the ones who dare to stay on the sidelines, hold their funds, and only act when the opportunity is truly clear.
Second, it means daring to take profits.
Making money isn’t the hard part—it’s selling. When the market is euphoric, everyone thinks prices will keep rising. You’ll fear selling too early, missing the wave. But the truly brave are those who stick to their plan, take profits at the right time, and accept not riding the entire wave. Resisting greed is always harder than overcoming fear.
Third, it means daring to cut losses.
No one is right all the time. When you realize you’re wrong—whether due to bad analysis, project issues, or market reversal—the key is how you react. Clinging to a losing position only makes the damage worse. Those with “courage” are willing to admit mistakes and exit promptly. This isn’t failure; it’s preserving capital to continue the game.
Fourth, it means daring to go big when the opportunity is clear.
This doesn’t conflict with waiting. When you’ve researched thoroughly, understand the project, see an attractive risk/reward ratio, and recognize that the market is undervaluing it—that’s when you need to act decisively. Opportunities like this don’t come often—maybe just a few times a year. And at those moments, you need enough confidence to make bold moves.
Ultimately, “courage” in crypto isn’t reckless emotion; it’s calmness built from knowledge and experience. Without a clear understanding of the project, tokenomics, team, and market trends, any “reckless” move is just gambling.
This market favors those who act— but actions must be thoughtful. Be the person who fears the crowd’s greed but seizes the panic.
Don’t just look at others’ profits. Look at their learning process, research, and resilience through volatility. To survive long-term and make money in crypto, start by improving your understanding.
When you “know” deeply enough, “courage” will come naturally.
