Greek shipping company Dynacom Tankers, owned by billionaire George Procopiou (Forbes estimates Procopiou and his family's wealth at $4.7 billion), has become one of the few major operators continuing to navigate ships through dangerous zones. This was reported by The Financial Times.

According to Lloyd's List, Procopiou is sending tankers through the strait at night with transponders turned off, providing them with insurance coverage against military risks. Market participants note that the vast majority of competitors avoid this route at all costs.

At least five ships operated by Dynacom entered the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz between February 28 and March 3, using a stealth passage tactic with disabled identification systems.
