Sodium batteries finally enter mass production!

CATL announced the first sodium batteries to enter actual commercial production, a step we've been waiting for a long time.

The new batteries last over 10,000 charge cycles, operate strongly even in freezing cold while retaining 90% of capacity at –40 degrees. And most importantly? The cost ranges from $10 to $19 per kWh, making them about 4 times cheaper than lithium batteries, without nickel or cobalt.
